The shaper will ask you the type of board you are after, your height, weight, skill level, type of waves you surf, and how you surf / want to surf. This information is used to help the shaper understand your surfing requirements.

You can also chat about board dynamics and fundamentals such as tail shapes, fin set-ups, board concaves, and other such aspects to help you and the shaper descide what is the ideal board set-up for you.

You can also talk about the type of graphics, board construction (PU / Epoxy) and any other requirements you may have regarding your custom surfboard.

For the more advanced surfer every aspect of the shaping process can be discussed even to the minutest detail such as glassing thickness, rocker and rail types.

When you are happy and have made the order your board will begin to be shaped to your exacting requirements and riding style. When the board is finished you can pick it up from the shaper or have it shipped.
