Common Dimensions
The Grifter is similar to the Moonbeam, but slightly narrower and is outfitted with a soft squash tail. The bottom has a single concave, starting a few inches from the nose, turning into a double concave that runs through the last third of the board. There is a nice amount of "v" that starts above the front fins, getting more pronounced at the end of the tail. This surfboard has a lot of rail to rail action due to the "v' and medium tail rocker, to keep the surfboard from sliding out too easily. The nose area has a nice amount of rocker, to enable steeper take-offs. The Grifter can be ridden in small to good sized waves and can be equipped with a 5 fin set up to accommodate any possible condition.
